Comings and Goings: Stern joins Crestview in Toronto; National Police Federation makes three appointments

Max Stern has joined Crestview Strategy as a consultant, where he’s servicing the Ontario Long Term Care Association, as well as other clients across various sectors including retail and healthcare.

“It is an exciting time to join Crestview Strategy and [its] strategic communications practice,” he said in a release distributed last month.

“I look forward to broadening client mandates to reflect the new, different ways to reach decision makers and influencers.”

Stern joins Crestview’s Toronto office after spending the past three-plus years with National Public Relations, working in the firm’s corporate affairs section, according to his LinkedIn.

Prior to that, Stern served as a communications assistant for the Liberal Party of Canada’s 2015 election headquarters. He also interned at Vice Canada in digital marketing and at Ontario’s Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure with the minister’s communications team.

“Max has deep media relationships combined with an understanding of the political landscape. This is core to the public affairs mindset of our team ensuring the most informed and strategic approach for our clients,” Crestview Strategy’s National Practice Lead for Strategic Communications Morgan Cates said in a statement.

“He’s off to a running start working with key clients across sectors who require this understanding of complex external factors that impact their business. Our strategic communications practice is rapidly expanding in response to a market that demands integrated approaches.”
